Biennale 2011 - Old Kallang Airport..and after that..

Biennale 2011
Old Kallang Airport
Saturday 29 April 2011

We wanted to introduce to the kids this much forgotten place, also known as Kallang Aerodrome, opened in 1937 (closed in 1955) as Singapore's first purpose-built civil airport. The Singapore Biennale 2011 has given the Old Kallang Airport a reason to open itz doors and welcome visitor once again. with an artistic presentation of contemporary artwork (though nothing compared to the Biennale @ Paris lol)

The kids had fun with the opportunity to explore every nook and cranny around it and were amazed at how simple this place seems to be compared to the current Singapore Changi Airport ;) Well, life was much simpler then....

After one hot afternoon at the very old airport, we went 'home' {our 2nd home lol} . welcomed mr ken home and then had a sumptuous home cooked curry chicken...at lulu's home ;) Gosh we were so hungry that we din't take any photos of the yummy food!!! nor the awfully nice chocs cakes....sigh...well but nvm, i know lulu will invite us again....kekeke

Thank you sweet girl for the nice sweet time together ;)

AND thank you all my friends for coming by here and being a follower of my blog ;) Have a FAB May ;) And oh this is my third post of the day! do Check out my Jaz Up Your Thursdays here ;)

LoADs happening...you make other homemakers look bad!! your fervent enthusiasm in scrapping coupled with your affable personality makes you such a special scrapper, mother & friend. Jus as others treat your scrap mementos as treasures, you keep your family like treasure, close to your heart...and you make your friends feel so treasured to have you as their treasure in their deep sea of friends :)
